Phil Stubbs

Phil Stubbs (BA) is poacher turned gamekeeper having worked as a journalist for several years before moving into public relations.

In his early career he spent almost 10 years in the reprographics and printing industry, latterly as commercial manager for the British Printing Company (BPC). Phil retrained to become a journalist in 1998, gaining NCTJ and NCE qualifications in newspaper journalism. His roles included that of political editor for Derby Evening Telegraph, where he has interviewed the likes of Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Michael Portillo and Nick Clegg, to name but a few.

In 2005 Phil decided to combine his business and journalism skills and enter the world of PR. After working in an agency environment for almost three years, he set up his own PR business and joined Customer Plus as an associate.
